What to say about episode 3? I liked it …..…… but not as much as episode 2.

The title of the episode is “The Sin.”

I already had a bad feeling about what was going to happen just from the title.

SPOILER ALERT!  Don’t read any further if you have not seen the episode.

I was so happy that The Mandalorian (“Mando”) saved “The Child” (Baby Yoda) from the other bounty hunters in episode 2. I like Mando, and I need to like him if I am to continue watching the series.

I understand that Mando is a bounty hunter and has a code he has to adhere to in order to continue in his trade. He was also paid by what remains of the Empire to bring “The Child” to them.

BUT he knows The Empire and the stormtroopers are the bad guys! How can he hand a cute baby over to them?? I almost turned off the TV.

Baby Yoda! Could you hand this cutie over to the Empire??

But a good show needs conflict in order to be interesting. So I guess my happy hopes of Mando raising Baby Yoda in an idyllic house in the country would put an end to the series pretty fast.  (and probably upset a lot of Star Wars fans…)

I knew the Mandalorian would have to redeem himself somehow and rescue Baby Yoda, because I feel that Baby Yoda plays a large part in the future storyline of the series.

Luckily, The Mandalorian appears to have a good sense of right and wrong.

He goes back to save Baby Yoda, resulting in an exciting battle with stormtroopers in which Mando cradles the small baby in one arm while fighting with the other arm. (pretty awesome!)

The Mandalorian had to know that breaking the Bounty Hunters’ code would bring great retribution. And it did.

A big battle ensued between the bounty hunters (led by Carl Weathers aka Apollo Creed as chief bounty hunter) and Mando. (Even the head bounty hunter admired Mando’s tuning fork blaster “That’s an impressive weapon you have there.”)

The battle actually began to look bad for Mando until his fellow Mandalorians who were in hiding came to his aid.

  • Humor was sadly lacking this week. Only 2 pieces of humor in the whole episode  😞

  • On the plus side, Disney announced new Baby Yoda merchandise in time for the holidays or not? 😃
    Are you surprised?

CNN Article about Baby Yoda Merchandise Announcement

Will the Baby Yoda Merchandise be ready for Christmas?

The NYPost article seems to feel that no official Disney merchandise will be ready for the Christmas shopping season because the shows creator’s wanted to keep baby Yoda as a surprise.
