Women’s white sneakers were all the rage in the late ’80s and ’90s. They were part of the “mom jeans” and “big hair” years.
But now the white sneakers and mom jeans are back!! Who would have guessed?
I remember watching Back to the Future with my kids a few years ago. They made fun of Jennifer Parker’s clothes (Marty McFly’s girlfriend). She had big white sneakers, socks over the base of the pant legs, mom jeans, and big hair. She was really pretty, but the kids only saw the “funny looking” clothes.
