Why pray the Chaplet of DIVINE MERCY

JESUS himself revealed the Chaplet of the DIVINE MERCY to Sr Faustina and asked her to pray the Chaplet unceasingly. JESUS told her: Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death.

The Chaplet of DIVINE MERCY is one of the most powerful prayers we could possibly pray. JESUS told Sr Fausitna: Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy.

JESUS told St Faustina:

“Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy.

I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy.” (Diary of Sister Faustina, Note number 687)

“Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them.”

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of 5 decades. The chaplet is preceded or ended with 2 opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska.

How to Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy:

In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Optional Opening Prayer (especially prayed at the 3 o’clock hour)

3 O’Clock Prayer
You expired Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of Mercy, opened up for the whole world.

O Fount of Life, O unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

O Blood and Water, which gushed from the Heart of Jesus, as a fountain for us, we trust in You.

(Essential Opening Prayer – on the first 3 beads after the Cross)
